"Please use iTunes to sync music"... uh, I have music

"Please use iTunes to sync music"... uh, I have music

Never had this issue before. I have a shuffle from 09' and today I decided to add a few songs... when plugged in iTunes recognizes the shuffle and shows my music on the device.

When I eject it and attempt to listen to music, the only thing I hear is "Please use iTunes to sync music"

Any one have any ideas?

FYI, I just upgraded to the newest version of iTunes.

Based off of my experience, I'd say iTunes is the issue

Set the switch in the middle position which is "play-in-order"...

Great, yes the music plays now... but my shuffle isn't shuffling...

Seems like a bit of a problem?

You'll have to UNcheck the "Skip while shuffling" for all your tracks
that you want to be shuffled. You can do this by selecting all your
music and doing Get Info>Options, UNcheck "Skip while shuffling".

Honestly, it's a little ridiculous that the software is making adjustments like that to the device, but I appreciate that you offered your assistance. Hopefully the author of the other thread saw your response as well so he's aware of the error.

Just purchased iPod shuffle and have problems downloading music from my itunes, I am a new player so if anyone can help me much appreciate, where is the devices??
