iPhone sync conflict

Since installing the latest software update on to my iPhone I have had a problem with syncing. I didn't have this problem before.
I get a pop-up from 'conflict resolver' saying there are 468 conflicts between my outlook calendar and iPhone. However, when I try to go through these, it always fails with an error message 'Cannot access Conflicts: Unable to retrieve conflict information from the sync server. Please try again next time the conflict resolver window is presented'. This happens every time and I am not able to complete resolving the conflicts.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to resolve this?

You should only have to force replacement of the info on each device once. After that, you should be able to sync away without problems. I do the same thing. The problem is, for some reason the system believes the data has changed in multiple locations and needs you to pick which one is correct.

If you have a Mac, you can re-set the sync services database to correct the problem. On a PC, I'm not sure where the equivalent would be.

I also had the same problem that there was something conflicting with my iPhone 4 syncing. I happened to fix mine incidentally. I installed a video card to replace my on-board GPU ATI HD 4200 with an Nvidia GTX 460.

What prevented my system from syncing was the Catalyst drivers for my on-board GPU. After I disabled the ATI GPU and the catalyst drivers, I noticed that my iPhone started syncing (miraculously at that time) to my desktop while charging it. I then tried enabling the drivers and plugged my phone in... No sync.

Just sharing my experience. See if you guys have a program called Catalyst Control Center. If you do, you did have the same problem as me.

and oh btw... don't disable/uninstall it right away.

Interesting. It's not actually conflicting with the iPhone, though, it's conflicting with your USB/Chipset drivers.

The iPhone doesn't care one way or another about drivers on your machine. If disabling/uninstalling allowed it to work, they there is an incompatibility between your video card and your motherboard drivers. You may want to check for updates from your motherboard manufacturer.

The solution I found at least for now is:
1. Connect device to computer
2. Open iTunes
3. Select your device listed on the left side panel
4. Select Info on the top menu bar
5. Scroll down to advanced and under "Replace information on this iPhone"
6. Select the items you want replaced
7. Select apply

Caveat: this should work temporarily, but what happens at least on my computer sometimes is that iTunes will de-select the conflicting items I've asked to be replaced and then present the problem again. This is an iTunes glitch that needs to be fixed by Apple. I hope this helps you though.

I have had the same sync problems with both my iPhone and my iPad for months now. Following advice on this forum, I tried to completely replace my iPhone Contacts by forcing them from my PC using the advanced tab on iTunes. But rather than copy my good data on my PC into the phone, it replaced the good data on my PC with the bad data from the phone. This is the second time that this has happened and I only tried it again after being advised in the Apple Store that this was now a foolproof solution to this problem. This is a serious defect in the utility of these devices.

The aggravating issue is that this is an iTunes issue and yet they want to charge to fix it??? Now that is what I call SUPPORT from "The Man." (to quote John Stewart)

Anyway, I like most users with this problem am looking for the answer, the update that will permanently fix this problem that haas been reported for years. I am amazed that this is still an issue.
