How do you plan on doing a video chat with an iPhone that does not include a front facing camera? That is like asking how to do a video chat with a computer that doesn't include a camera.

Only the iPhone 4 has a front facing camera - there is none on the 3GS or 3G. Without a front camera, video calling is obviously impossible.

Are you really asking why the iPhone 3G doesn't have a front camera?

The iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 3G are not really the same phone. You can see this in how much the iPhone 3G cannot do when it comes to version 4 of the operating system (iOS). For one, the iPhone 3G cannot do multitasking.
