Battery drain out after update to iOS 4.2

Was there any user experience the battery drain out fast after update to iOS4.2?
After the update the phone showed that it's on use at all time from the usage statistics data. It run with the same as when it on standby status.
Was there any thing wrong I've done? I just follow the instructions to update my software to iOS4.2.

I am having the same problem after updating last night. I am also having problems with the phone app. the screen is unresponsive when I try to make a call. When I open Contacts everything seems to freeze for an indeterminate period of time. Repeated efforts my cause the contact to open but I am unable to selecta number to dial. Most times it just returns to the home screen.

I though i was overly sensitive but i noticed draining are faster with this new OS 4.2.1 update.
Apparently people are finding this an issue as well!
Are there going to fix for all these issue? Or is the new fix going to be filled with a whole new set of issues that bug users again? Its quite disappointing to worry about issues like this that affects our usage all the time we try to update.

Is Apple aware of the problem with this latest update? Does anyone know if they are even interested?

After the update my drains at a rate of about 10% per hour instandby mode. I still take about 5 or more minutes to make a phone call at times because the phone app freezes up or just goes back to the home screen. I have also noticed the same type of problem with the calendar app. When I am able to make a call I have noticed that the screen is constantly flickering, something it has not done before.

I have tried several reboots and a full restore with no change in the problem. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem, or know how to rollback to the previous OS which did work fine, no excessive battery drain, no delay in the phone app etc.

Looking for some help. The problem is with the iOS 4.2.1 update and not my phone.
