Use of "raw & Jpeg"

After importing .jpeg, from "raw and jpeg", process, I am unable to import"raw files only". The IMPORT CHECKED button is greyed out. I followed the instructions in HELP, but cannot get any farther.

What am I missing, if anything?

It sounds like you are shooting 'RAW + JPEG' and then during import - with 'BOTH (JPEG as Master) or 'BOTH (Separate Masters)' selected in RAW & JPEG Pairs section of import pane - you are first importing the JPEG (with the intention of importing the RAW files later).

If this is the case, you need to select the Project that you imported the JPEG's into and then use 'Matching RAW files' command at the bottom of the RAW & JPEG Pairs drop-down to import the RAW files. 😉

Yes, and this won't work if you have changed the names of the captures upon import.

Correct.

I personally import the JPEG's > decide which are worth keeping > import matching RAW files > batch rename files (opting to rename my Masters as well).

I have not tried to do anything more complicated, but you could perhaps try deselecting the 'Do Not Import Duplicates' and see if that prevents any issues with importing the RAW files after working on the JPEG? 😉
