selecting even or odd numbered files

I've been making time-lapses and often have around 2000 high resolution DNG files. I recently made a mistake, where every other photograph had a slightly different exposure and needed to be moved to a separate folder. Manually selecting every other photograph was ridiculously tedious. I figured someone must have created some shareware for this, but it appears that no one has. Luckily, Martin Pace has come up with a creative solution that works great! See above.

Thanks for the reply Baltwo. I'm surprised nobody has created a gui for this. Is there no shareware out their to accomplish this for those who don't wish to delve into scripting. I couldn't find any solution to this in Automater, BTW.

Martin, you're a genius! Like you said, it isn't a perfect solution but it certainly does the trick (and beats manually selecting every other file, one at a time). I'm sure I'll be using your technique a whole lot in the future. Thank you so much!
