disk clean up

does the imac have a disk clean up like windows?

imac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Short answer is no, there is no such program included with Mac OS.

There are some third party applications that do stuff like that.
But, generally speaking, you don't need to worry with this kind of thing.

have to agree, on a mac you don't really need to worry about those things.

if by disk cleaning you mean deleting unnecessary files, I would have to ask what files you want to delete? temp files are deleted from time to time automatically and there is no such thing like a registry that would need cleaning up.

if you mean defragmenting then no, mac OS automatically defragments files when necessary, you don't need to do that
