Line Breaks/Carriage Returns in Numbers Forms

I was using the Forms feature in iPad Numbers and when entering data in a text field, there doesn't appear to be any way to enter a line break or carriage return. All of the text has to be in one paragraph. The normal intelligent keyboard for text entry in the standard table view supports a return, but not in the Forms.

Did I miss something or is this a missing feature? Is there some way to work around it?

I was just about to post this problem as well.

I have a giant spread sheet of my LP collection in Numbers. There is one field where I want to enter info like this, with a return after the first line:

Riverside Records RLP-12-320 MONO
Blue and silver label, Mic and Reels at top, Bill Grauer Productions at bottom

With the onscreen keyboard, it's not a problem. I hit the return button on the screen and it starts a new line in that cell under the first line.

With the bluetooth keyboard, I can't seem to find any combination of keys to get the cursor to start a new line. Anytime I try, the result is the cursor jumps to the cell below.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. Yep, I tried shift and every key there is- fn, control, option, command. Interestingly, the command-return does nothing. Control-return and option-return (with and without the **** key) all make it jump to one cell below.

It wouldn't be a big deal if I had the option to pull up the on-screen keyboard in addition to the bluetooth keyboard. I could just tap the return key on the screen when I needed to.

On the full Mac version of the app, you have to option-return to get the curser to start a new line.

Maybe they didn't write it in to the app.... I'll have to see if I can find a way to pull up the onscreen keyboard as a work around.
