HI Barry,

I don't think that I was ranting, is it unreasonable to expect products that have been purchased at a premium price to function?

It news to me that these are user - user forums, in which case is the fact that this page is on apple.com > SUPPORT not misleading?

Is there a proper support mechanism available? I have been told more or less by apple to buy a new keyboard.

Sorry for any offence, but your solution requires a keyboard, am I expected to buy a new USB keyboard just so I can try something that has not worked for others? Do apple really not bother helping here? If thats the case I find that upsetting and annoying, I paid for a product and expect it to work.

Barry, this is getting frustrating. Every post about this issue, going back to early 2009 you have made the SAME suggestion. It doesn't work.

Also, its a bit hard to do ANYTHING with my €800 Mac Mini without a keyboard I paid €50 for. This is the pathetic lack of support I would expect from a small software company not a mega corp.

Do you work for Apple?

Hello H:

These forums are not chat rooms, but since you used my name I will address your post.

Do you work for Apple?

No. These are user-to-user forums. The forums are moderated by Apple, but do not represent official responses from the company. If an Apple employee would post here (very rare), they would have either a purple apple (forum host) or a silver apple (employee) under their name.

Every post about this issue, going back to early 2009 you have made the SAME suggestion. It doesn't work.

That statement is inaccurate. If you read the posts carefully, I do not cut/paste the same suggestion to address issues. However, trying to address issues without hands-on access to devices necessarily requires one to suggest solutions that have worked in similar situations. Bluetooth issues are not rocket science and there are only a few things that are available to resolve problems. If you look at the little blue bars next to my name that represent user +"thank yous+" for suggestions that worked, I must have made a few suggestions that did work.

Like everyone else that tries to help others here, we are unpaid volunteers. If you have better sources to obtain information, I certainly recommend that you seek those sources out. If you have issues with Apple, take them up with the company. Ranting here about your particular problem is not helping anyone.

Barry
