Time Capsule wireless network range

I live in a condo less then 1,200 sq ft. My time capsule is my wireless router. My iMac works fine on my network in the living room but cannot find the network in a bedroom not too far away. Seems that considering the small size of the place I would think it should extend that far? What is the best way to extend the range of my network?

Welcome to the discussion area, vhoinski!

It's not the size of the condo that determines your wireless signal quality, it's the number of obstructions like walls or ceilings in the signal path that absorb the wireless signal. Construction type also has a great deal to do with the ability of a very weak radio signal to get to its destination.

Ideally, you would want to locate the Time Capsule in a central location in the condo with a clear look in as many directions as possible. If you think of your wireless router as a light bulb, you want to illuminate as much area as possible.

If you can't find the ideal spot for the Time Capsule, you might want to take a look at something like an AirPort Express to "extend" the wireless signal to provide better coverage.
