Photos lost after projector use
Hello all,
I compiled a photo slideshow, in iphoto, for a funeral last week, which was projected onto a projector screen. I originally created a separate album for this slideshow, which existed amongst the many albums, and photos, in iphoto. I tested the slideshow with the projector a couple of days before the funeral and it worked correctly. However, using the projector changed my iphoto - it doesn't have the library 'tab' down the side, which displays all my albums, projects etc. All that was up on the screen were the photos for the funeral slideshow. I didn't think anything of it at the time but then I imported a photo into my library, to use for the slideshow, and ALL my photos disappeared, including the funeral slideshow. I decided to wait until after the funeral to query this and all I did was re-add the photos needed for the slideshow and these are the only ones appearing on my iphoto so far (the library tag is still not there).
I have found an iphoto library version in my 'pictures' folder; however not ALL of my photos are there. Photos from the last year are missing. However... When I try to change the photo/screensaver on my desktop it gives me a choice of photos from my entire iphoto library (including the photos that are missing from my 'pictures' folder. In addition to this, my iphoto is shared so when I access it from another mac it gives me access to all these photos. So they are somewhere in the ether - I just don't know how to get them back!
Argh!
Please help somebody.
With thanks and best wishes.
