IMovie 09 vs. 11?

Currently I'm using iMovie 09 and I was thinking of upgrading to iMovie 11, however after viewing the topics in the forum it seems 11 is very discouraging. Is it worth it to upgrade? What I would really like is more control over the coloring of my projects and perhaps some more effects.

If you go to New York City and hang out at the Emergency Room, you would thing that everyone in New York is sick. iMovie 11 has been working great for me, with no issues.

There are some good new features, especially the Trailers. I also like the ability to easily do 1080P through the presets. Also, they have fixed the glitch where using slow motion caused the audio to get out of whack.

iMovie 11 is working perfectly for the vast majority of users. People tend to come here only when they have a problem.

iMovie 11 is working fine for me, (although I do most of my work with iMovie 06 and iDVD 11).

I would not let any comments left here discourage you from purchasing iLife 11, if you like iMovie 09 I think you will like iMovie 11.
