Saving and printing pdf files in Safari

I have a Macbook Pro and just today all of a sudden Safari won't let me save pdf files and it will not let me print pages to pdf. I have loaded no new software and have never seen this issue before. On my wife's account Safari acts normally. When I try to save a pdf file I get an error message saying that I don't have permission to do so. When I try to print a page as a pdf file I get an error message saying I can not print. I have check the permissions in the Safari application. My Account was not there so I added and gave myself read and write capability to no avail. I used the disk utility application and repaired permissions. I have restarted the machine numerous times.

I also have Firefox and everything works normally there.

Any ideas how to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.
