ipad won't turn on!!! How come?

My ipad suddenly wont turn on. Ihave been using it for about 2 month only and it suddenly won't turn on when I press the home button. When I plug it to charge it won't even chime and show the usually initial charging indicator. Any mavens out there who can help me? It it time to go to an apple store for repairs or new battery? (only 2months old).
