Can I get Pandora to play over my home theater?

I have Pandora on my Mac Pro and my iPad. If I get an Apple TV will I be able to stream Pandora over my home theater?

Mac Pro 3.0 GHz Quad-Core, iPad WiFi + 3G (Yea!), Mac OS X (10.6.5), 30" HP LP3065 Monitor, 22" Cinema Display

They're wrong. Here's how to use Airplay with Pandora (from Pandora tech support):

1) Double tap the home button on the device - it doesn't matter if Pandora open, as long as it's playing.

2) Swipe to the right along the area at the bottom to reveal the music player controls and Pandora icon.

3) Click on the Airplay button (to the right of the 'forward' button) and select the other source you want to stream to.

NOTE: The Airplay button only shows when another source (Airport Express/Apple TV) is available on that network.

Regards.

Thanks Dave. Thers a lot of confusion about streaming content from apps.

Pandora Tech support concurs with you and also mentioned that using Airfoil (RogueAmoeba.com), a Mac computer with an AppleTV you can also stream content to your home theater. Airfoil costs $25.

Last point to clarify is using an iPad as you describe or a Mac/Airfoil, will either display Pandora's user interface?

Or do you only get audio?

Even if the UI displays on your TV, I imagine you'd use the iPad or Mac to navigate Pandora?

Thx, Steven

I already tried streaming pandora and every time I press the airplay button to use the apple tv2g it just stop so again when I choose the iPad start playing. The only difference that I see is the router which is not an apple extreme or any apple router "I got my reasons" instead I own a netgear dualband router. I just learned how to close all the apps that work in multitasking mode so maybe that will help me to be able to stream pandora. I hope someone can help me with that. Thanks

Thanks, but didn't work, I just hope that they come with and update, I really don't have any clue about what to do. Thanks any way

As it works with the current version for most of us, the problem is probably with your set up, not the iPad software. Therefore, an update may not make any difference.

Have you tried resetting your iPad? That solves a lot of weird problems. Press and hold the power button and the home button until you see the silver apple. This doesn't remove any data from the iPad.

I did reset it, deleted airvideoenabler which is an app from cydia, reset again, delete pandora reinstall reset the iPad try again, turn off home sharing in iTunes and iPad and apple tv 2 put it back on and maybe more stuff. I found someone talking about an add on from XBMC for the atv2, so I guess that will be my next option. I let you know if it work, thanks for you support Meg st Clair.
