In France but need Itunes to be in English please help

Sorry, but the iTunes Store in France is available only in French. And while you can browse the UK iTunes Store, you cannot purchase from it.

Unless they have a UK Credit card with a UK address ..... and as the OP is unable to speak French, its a fair chance they are not French 🙂

That's not sufficient, Graham. The terms of use of each country's iTunes Store state that the user will not use, nor even attempt to use, the iTunes Store from outside of that country. So even if the user had a UK credit card, s/he still couldn't use the UK iTunes Store from France (not without violation the terms, and perhaps not even actually since Apple may block such access).

You might be able to buy Kindle books from Amazon UK. Amazon has an iPad app that would allow you to read a Kindle book. You'll have to check with Amazon to see if they can allow purchases from France and can accept a French credit card (presuming you do not have a UK card).

Sorry, but as I said above, the terms of use for the UK iTunes Store prohibit you from using it from France. You can browse the UK store, though, by going to the bottom of the iTunes Store page, clicking the round flag icon, and selecting the UK.

So everyone that manages to buy Apps or download music/podcasts when out of their country is in breach.

Understandable I guess, if not slightly difficult unless all is blocked as you say.

you could try setting up a vpn via a uk based server. i do that to access and stream uk tv when abroad - which is for 50 weeks a year. i haven't tried it in your situation but technically it should work.

the principle is that it shows your ip address as a uk one, so itunes should be the uk one. that's what happens with bbc iplayer and the like.

Apple Does NOT use geographical tag blocking on itunes.

True terms require approved payment method and billing address in relevant country.

I have addresses in the UK (GB Pounds) , Portugal (Euro) and Florida (Dollar) each with separate log ins.

Can access any from ANYWHERE and buy in relevant currency any time.

Just because you can do it doesn't make it "legal". It is still a contravenes the Terms of Sale.

Posting on an Apple owned forum that you violate their conditions seems imprudent.
