Question

will my trackpad wear out?

so will it wear out like my HP that i only had for a year, the coating started coming off on the hp and started showing clear plastic. so if it does wear out im going to buy a magic mouse .

let me change the question, have any of you noticed under constant use of the trackpad has it started loosing its finish

The trackpad is wear-resistant etched glass. There is no coating. This is reason 4,722 why a MBP is better than laptops that are cheaper.

Maybe after a few hundred years of use, you would notice some sort of wear.

Don't worry about it.

thanks for the awnser, i really hated when my 8 month old HP started wearing out at the track pad 😟
