I Can Only rip 8-20 sec of each songs

I haven't read of anyone having this problem...Someone please help. When I place a cd in to import, it loads up and starts to rip. However, it only rips 8-20 sec of the song then goes to the next where it continues. I tried the check and uncheck. I confirmed my drivers are the most recent. I unfamilar with firmware.

In order to get songs into Itunes I rip them in Window Media Player then convert and import into Itunes. Its a couple extra steps and it should,'t need to be.Here is my CD Diagnosis.

Any Help!!!

I am also having this problem on one of my computers, but when I tried it on the other computer it worked. One idea I have is that the software from one of my newer CD's that I loaded on the problem computer could be causing the problem. I heard that some newer CD's contains anti-pirating code in their software that affects your computer's ability to read all newer CD's. I never loaded this software on the second computer that working OK. I'm not sure that this is the problem, but it might be. If anyone knows better I hope they speak up.

Ditto
I have tried re installing i-tunes to no avail. I have tried both drives but get the same problem.

In the last few attempts a new problem has developed: now when I press the 'import CD button it stalls on the first track and gives me the error message ".... an unknown error occured (-223)"

i did it! i messed with the preferences, and something i did worked. I will list everything i did, because i'm not quite sure what it was that made it work. here it goes:
I went to edit (in itunes)and then clicked on preferences. Then, under Playback, i checked (clicked on the box in front of) sound enhancer and sound check.
Under Advanced, and under Burning my 'preferred speed'-max possible and my 'disc format'-audio and i checked 'use sound check'. Also, under Importing, i changed the 'on CD insert:' to 'begin playing'
Hope what i did works for you too! good luck!
