Problem Registering at iTunes Store

I cannot register at the iTunes Store in my iPad because there is an error with my province address. I am in Malaysia, where all the 'dropdown'list in the application form of the provinces are in two letters, while the system says "Please enter at most 3 letters or numbers for province"! How can I overcome this?

Think I've just solved it. You have to select the County (state) again even though it is already correct (for my case, it was selecting SL). Therefore, I chose blank first ("Select Province"), then select "SL" again, the I got it to pass through the verification process.

On a side note, I also tried registering the phone first before I tried the above. Not sure if it is related in solving this issue or not in the first place.

Same problem. The original post was posted on Dec last year but the problem is still not fixed? Please help.

I'ts my first time downloading apps. I was told to 'review' my new account.

I was required to key in my credit card details and billing address. I did all of them but receive an error message saying "Please enter at most 3 letters or numbers for county" Yes, it says at most 3 letters.

However, when I click on the County list. I get a list of states from my country (malaysia), all represented with 2 letters option. And in my case, it should be 'SL'. I tried selecting an empty county and reselect 'SL' but im still getting the same error message.

Finally, I tried selecting a neigbour state, 'NS' and I was allowed to proceed. But.. that is not the state of my billing address!!! Please fix this.

Meh... had this same issue just a moment ago and it is causing me to download stuff I need for WORK! Was getting very ****** but guess what? Apparently.. it doesn't work for a number of "countys" .. I am from KL and it didn't seem to approve my request. I changed it to SL and it went through.. Stupid bug. Please fix it, I am not for SL.. -_-

Don't worry anymore. I finally find the cause of issue.

If you are using Debit Card, this issue only occure when you don't have sufficient money in your account.

And if you are using Credit Card, it happens if your CR got problem; I mean you have an issue with your bank.

The common reason: If you want to make changes in your bank info, AT NIGHT. Yes at night. And if it stuck, it will last at tomorrow morning.

So, mainly it's an issue cause by your bank. Call the bank and ask them to solve the issue.

I dunno why, but I aslo got the same problem. I'm also from Malaysia. no matter how many times I tried, it kept on telling me to input at most 3 letters in the County box when I chose my actual county code.

What I did was, I chose another county code, in my case...I chose JH. Somehow, it accepts that...I have no idea why. Then I went back and change the code to the actual county code. It worked.
