iPad doing random things on its own...

Yesterday my iPad started doing things on its own (I know this sounds strange...) but it is randomly changing applications, zooming in and out, locking on certain screens, playing songs all by itself, etc. without my touching it. I was wondering if anyone else was encountering this or if it might be a problem after the upgrade. Thought I'd check here first before I called an exorcist...thank you !!

Rosenbella,

iPads with the problem you are describing are most likely affected by faulty hardware. You need to take your device to Apple Repair and they should replace your unit.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.

Reset iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Same problem, what a pain. Reset only fixes temporarily and restore does nothing.

Thank you ! I will do that ! I tried the reset like suggested yesterday and it was working ok for most of the day today. It started freezing and then decided to change the wallpaper by itself. lol (I wish it would've chosen something nicer)

I was getting ready to call a priest 🙂 🙂

(If anyone is interested, I actually have a very creepy story about when this first started happening a couple of day ago...I don't know if you are allowed to post those kinds of things ... sorry I'm a newbie)
