Showing two photos into one slide in Vintage Theme Slideshow

You may have to rearrange adjacent slides. The program dictates when there will be two photos in the same slide and when there will be one. If you try to combine two photos into one slide in a place on the timeline where the program doesn't want one, it will combine the ones where it wants. Takes some futzing.

This method works about 20% of the time for me, so you may need to try it a few times. Grab one photo that you want in the timeline, press command and press the other photo. This should select them both. Now drag the picture until the thumbnails merge into one and show the number "2". Release them back onto the timeline and it should join them. If not, keep trying and it will work eventually 🙂

YES! Thanks so much. This does work, but you do have to be a bit persistent, because it does take a few attempts to join them. Thanks for a great fix/workaround!

I just tried this, and it did show me the red "2", although when I dropped the photos in the timeline, it was the two photos to the right of the ones I had selected that ended up on the same slide. Weird.

Try selecting the photos in the slideshow tray and merging them as magician suggested.
