not possible to input passwords in certain languages - are you kidding?

i've been noticing since ages that macosx doesn't allow to input passwords in other languages than latin. e.g. i've got a lot of non-latin passwords (cyrillic in fact). as one can see on the screenshots, cyrillic layout is not even present when i switch to a "password" field on a web-page or in any macosx application (skype, thunderbird, whatever etc).

is that intended? it kinda frustrating to copy-paste passwords each time you have to enter one.

Wouldn't it be the case that the language used for the password would be in step with the language on the page? I think this would be universal on the web, rather than a Mac thing.

On a russian web page, does your cyrillic work?
Perhaps there is some guy in Russia wondering why his Latin passwords don't work.

have you actually read what i wrote :)? it's the same in macosx applications as well, so it has nothing to do with web or codepage, or whatever web-related ****. macosx just detects "input type=password" and puts the same rules on it as any password input field in any native application.

ps, +Wouldn't it be the case that the language used for the password would be in step with the language on the page?+ - have you ever seen that to be the case? i haven't for 12 years.

You did mention web page as well and as your two screenshots show web page logins it is reasonable to assume your internet experience was the question at hand.

Thank you for clarifying the problem is with OS X applications but as one does not log in to them I fail to understand your problem?

Forgive this lack of understanding but I am sure someone will be delighted to help you soon.
