iPad, maintenance?

Hello

I’ve got my iPad now for several months and I’m wondering if, like the Mac, I should do some (regular) maintenance? Also, can I **** up the system?

Since I got it, I’ve reset the iPad back to factory settings several times and I’ve hard reset it also several times. Can this harm the device?

Thanks!

This leads me to the interesting question that is there any benefits in turning off your iPad at nights? I never turn my iPad off, but it doesn't necessarily have to be on at nights when I sleep. Would the iPad battery life cycle last longer in the long run if I would turn it off every night?

Additional question: whenever I have my iPad next to my laptop while I spend most of my day working, should I keep the iPad plugged into power or not - regarding what is most beneficial for battery life cycle?

You had a 'feeling' that something was wrong. Interesting!
I can honestly say I have never had an error on my iPad in 7 months of use, but if I did get one, then I would probably do exactly what you have done, and do a reset or a restore from backup.
As far as maintenance is concerned, I don't know of any, but maybe someone else will step in on that.
