How to set up netgear wireless router?

I bought a WGR614 v6 netgear wireless router on craigslist.
It was used by both Mac and PC.
The directions are for Windows.
I cannot get support from my ISP or Netgear.

How do I hook it up with my macbook pro?

Thanks.

The folks I bought it from had no problem.

I cannot get support from Netgear because I bought it used.
I tried. It is already registered to the people I bought it from.

I have the manual. I got it online.

I cannot find out how to do it on a Mac.

I contacted the woman I bought it from. Her son has a Mac and used it so he can help me I think.

It's done.

What I needed all along that I did not know until last night was to run two cables.

I had only been running one from the router internet port to the modem. I found out I needed to run
a cable from my Mac to a LAN port on the router.

I did it and hit the reset button once more and held for 20 seconds and the NETGEAR page just popped up. I filled in what was needed and VOILA~

Thanks.

Hi itsmesunny,
I am having a really similar situation to you: same used router, same computer. I've been able to access the Setup Wizard but can't quite make the conection happen! Did you have to enter anything in the "account name" and "domain name" boxes? Did you have to restart your computer or router at any time during the process? At what point should I unplug the router from the computer? I can't help thinking I'm missing something really simple...
