Magic Bullet Looks Problems

So I just purchased and installed Magic Bullet Looks. The problem is that when I open up FCP and try to apply Looks to a clip, nothing happens when I click 'edit'. I've clicked the 'register' button and entered in my serial number. Still nothing. Reset the permissions. Nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mac Pro 8 core, Mac OS X (10.6.5), Final Cut Studio 2

Hi -
Just to clarify -
you drag the looks filter to a clip on the timeline, double click on the clip on the timeline you just placed the filter on, and in the viewer click on the Filters Tab, click on edit and the Looks Builder does not open?

....but I can open LooksBuilder on its own if I go into the Applications folder. Doesn't connect with my clip in FCP though.

Can you open the Looks Builder app. as a stand alone application?

You list FCS 2 - are you using FCP 6,x?
Are there version differences for Looks for FCP 6/7?
Running Looks here on 7.03.

Running FCP 7.0 As far as I know, Looks should be working with this version.

Yes, it should.
If this is a new purchase/install I would call Red Giant and get support.
Also, try the trouble shooting guide I posted from Red Giant - it is subtitled:
+Magic Bullet Looks: [PS-175] Product does not appear after installation and/or does not function correctly (Mac OS X).+

HGO, Meg is right. I had the same issues recently.

I followed the 175 guidance from Reg Giant. Took roughly about an hour but I conpleted their instructions to the letter.

It has now worked but I have to prompt the MBL's app by resizing the viewer pane, which is a pain but at least it works now.

BTW thanks Meg, it did work afterall 🙂
