ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Driver Update on Snow Leopard
I have an iMac running Snow Leopard (10.6.5) with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro graphics card. I just tried to update the drivers on this card and could not find the card for my OS on AMD/ATI/Radeon's site. Is there another way to update the drivers for this graphics card? Is this card no longer supported? Do I need to replace this card?
You cannot replace the card and any updates for drivers would be coming from Apple automatically via software or firmware update. Windows rules do not apply here (fortunately or unfortunately - whichever way you care to look at it).
I am in the same boat here needing a driver update for this video card (but running OS X 10.5.8). Can't render some simple attempts at 3D in Photoshop. This machine outperforms the video card. Seems like a poor match if I can't do some simple 3D work.
Any other solutions than waiting on Apple to release an update? I'm thinking I am stuck now...
