Myspace 3- causes safari to slow to a halt EVERY time..

So Im a musician. I like to use myspace to update people on what I'm doing, to show my friends my songs and so on. Problem is, ever since myspace updated to "3rd generation profiles/interface" everytime i go on there, my emac cant handle it, and crashes. This is the only website I use that such a thing happens. Facebook, youtube, various forums, and revernation all DONT do this at all...

So far, I've cleared the cache, cleared history, reset everything in safari, and still i cant use the website without the spinning wheel coming up and safari not responding for a good 5 mins with each click i make... I did post on the "get satisfaction-myspace community" page, but that was 23 days ago, and I still have not a single reply.. So I thought I'd try here.

Is there anything I can do to be able to actually use myspace?
If there are any more details needed, please dont hesitate to ask.

I test the main page in Tiger 10.4.11 on a G4 1.25G minitower. It completed but was slow, apparently due to a lot of Flash ads and other Flash components. G4s and Flash no longer play well together. Many sites are moving away from Flash, but this one obviously is in love with it. The only Mac in our house that nicely handles Flash-rich web content is our only Intel Mac. All the rest--mostly G4s--are struggling with many sites.

Hi harreh,

I have exactly the same problem, from the moment Myspace upgraded my profile, without me asking to do so! The only solution for me was to start using Firefox, at least only for myspace. I still prefer Safari, but it seems that Myspace does not work with it on Tiger any more. Try Firefox, you'll be fine.

All the best.
