MacBook Pro won't connect to DLink router

Hi everyone,
Thanks before hand for the answers.
This is my first post.
I have the original MacBook Pro and I'm running the most recent version of OS X (10.6.5 I think).
I have a D-Link wireless ADSL router DSL-2700B (that is what it says on it, I don't know if that is it's name).
Every time I connect It says I'm connected, and my MacBook Pro has an IP address, but when I try to open a webpage, it will load until it finally gets a timeout and my browser tells me that I don't have an Internet connection (tried Safari, Firefox, and Chrome).
The Internet works flawlessly on my iPhone, my iPad, my roommates DELL and his Windows XP tower (connected via Ethernet).
The weird thing is, if I trie to connect with my MacBook, not only does it not work, but also the Internet connections on the other devices fail.
I can only get it working again if I restart the router.
I tried connecting my MacBook to the router with an Ethernet cable, and the same thing, although I have an IP address I cannot access the Internet, and my iPad can't either with full reception.

What IP address are you getting? If it starts with 169., then you are not getting a valid address which can mean there's a problem with the router or your Network preferences. Start by carefully reading the router's documentation to be sure you have it properly configured. Check the D-Link website for any firmware updates for the device. Some D-Link devices don't work with Macs until they get a firmware update. You can try contacting their tech support although D-Link doesn't generally support Macs with any of their hardware.

Be sure to check your Network preferences assuming you do get a valid IP address (probably begins with 192.) In that case try providing your own domain name server (DNS) in the appropriate DNS field of Network preferences for the type of connection you're using - wired or wireless.) Try using 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. Be sure they are at the top or beginning of the list of DN servers. Also be sure your preferences are set to use DHCP from the Configure IPv4 drop down menu. Set the Configure IPv6 drop down menu to OFF. Also check that you do not have any proxy settings turned on unless you use a proxy server. In the latter case be sure you have the correct settings for your proxy server.

It was the Bluetooth!
I have no idea why Bluetooth would make a router crash but it does.

Today when I connected with my iPad the router crashed, it has never done that before, so it got me wondering. Did I change any settings in my iPad?
No.
But then I realized that Bluetooth was enabled, I usually don't have it enabled, so after I rebooted the router I tried again with Bluetooth OFF.
It worked.
I then turned bluetooth OFF on my MacBook Pro, and it worked.
Anybody know why that happens?
I'm just glad to have the Internet working again.
Thanks Kappy for posting some suggestions (even though they didn't help me) it is much appreciated.
Cheers

If for some reason BT was trying to connect to a non-existent device it may have caused the router to crash since the router doesn't do BT. Or you may have a defective BT module in the computer. However, if you don't have any BT devices to test with then you can either leave it disabled or take the computer in for service to find out why there is a problem with it.
