Macbook Battery 0% not charging!

Macbook Battery 0% not charging!

Ok so My battery icon is the fully charged logo and sometimes just an x. If I unplug the macbook it shuts down. So I figured it was my battery but then i fliped over the macbook and unpluged the magsafe charger and plufed it back in and i saw the lights on the battery flicker for half a second. So do you think its the battery or the charger? P.S the macbook runs fine on the charger.

In a moment when the battery is not showing X, go to Applications/ Utilities/ System Profiler. Select "Power" from the menu on the left, and copy-paste here the information about your battery starting with the "Charge Information" section.

I am having the same issue. I hve just bought a new battery, and the same thing is happening with my new battery. The battery when the AC adapter is in, reads ( not charging) and when you click on the battery icon, it shows 0%. Again it is a brand new battery!

Check Battery is a sign that your battery is on its last legs. You need a new one.
