Sony DSR 11 and HDV and Final cut Pro.

I just bought a Sony DSR 11 for my miniDV tapes I have the older mini DV camcorder. I use Final Cut 6. I want to by a new Sony HDR-HC9 which is HDV format, but uses mini DV tapes. Can I use my DSR 11 for the HDV format into Final Cut?
