Recently my 4g iPod touch I left in my car for about 2 hours while i went to soccer practice. When i came back the screen near the home button was all cracked. I was really shocked because i knew that it was cold but i didnt think that because of it that it would make my screen crack. I have dropped it before on my carpet and on tile but then it didnt do anything. Will the warranty cover this? Or will the Apple Protection Plan?

Unfortunately, Acts of God are not covered under the Apple Protection Plan or its warranty.
depending on the size of your device apple can replace the device for a fee or possibly replace the screen.

The protection plan covers nothing more than the standard warranty. It just extends that same warranty another year.

The plan does not cover damage. The only way to know for sure is to make an appointment at the genius bar or send it to Apple.

Ok me and one of my friends were looking for a christmas present and our other friends ipod touch screen is cracked like not the computer part of it, just the glass part on top of the computer part. We were wondering how much that would cost to send in and get replaced or if you can even do that.

    - Have you tried resetting it:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next would be restore to factory defaults via iTunes
    - Apple cost to fix:

    - Another place to fix but you will lose you warranty
