What to open a PPS document?

What software can I use to open a PPS document? When I get an email with a PPS attachment, I don't have anything that will open it that I'm aware of. Text edit just gets me computer jargon that is unreadable. On my old Mac I had Keynote that would open these documents, but Keynote is not on this computer. Is there any free downloadable software that can open and read PPS? If not, any reasonable software to buy for this? I can't believe that this Mac didn't come with a software like my old Mac that can read PPS documents. 😟

Use NeoOffice or OpenOffice, both of which are free.

PPS is PowerPoint Slideshow. If you just want to view the images you can use:
http://echoone.com/filejuicer/ to extract them.
iWork should also open the format.

Which of the recommendations are the easiest to use? The first two are free, what about that File Juicer?

Well thanks for the great advice but I was hoping someone with some knowledge of using both of the programs would have some input. If I was all that tech savvy on getting programs and using them to begin with, I wouldn't be asking on here. Nothing wrong with wanting to narrow down to the easiest one.

What's easiest for me may not be easiest for you. You really should try the suggested apps and make your own decision based on your needs.

In my opinion what is easiest is to install MS Office. But I don't know if that is easiest for you.
