iBooks bookmarks not working after 1.2 upgrade

Have searched everywhere for a fix. Having the same inconsistent bookmark in iBooks problem as you. Adding the detail that I can press and press bookmark, see nothing, and then go to the bookmark page and see that I'd bookmarked the same page a half dozen times. Also, it tends to mark the previous page.

I can confirm all the aboves.

bookmarks created on the page before.

I'm runnining iBooks 1.3.2/ios5 and I have some new infos:

-) it happens only on iPad, iphone4/ios5 ok, all fonts size

-) it does not happens on Ipad if selecting the two smallest fonts. it starts to happen with the 'third' font

-) I'm using "palatino" on both devices

I too am having this issue. Would love a solution, funny enough the first book I tried to read when I upgraded was "Steve Jobs" and now this is happening.

Bookmarks seem to show up on previous page, font sizing doesn't seem to be remembered when I close the book. Never had these problems before and I've read many books on iBooks.

Just my .02 to make sure this gets fixed.

Just to support the complaints...I'm having the same issues. Bookmark is working sporadically and often leaves the bookmark on a page earlier, or later. Funny it's been happening while reading Steve's bio and I'm wondering if this is not one of his practical jokes!!

Same problem here, Bookmark always worked properly before iOS 5. I too noticed this while reading Steve's biography, ironic??

I have noticed that besides it appearing on previous page, that if I turn to lanscape and chose the bookmark it is appearing on the right of the second page of the two that appears as should be. So I wonder if this is some problem of formating between landscape 2 page view and the single page portrait view?

My two cents but this is sure annoying! I have not seen it jump back like some noticed however, just previous page in portrait view!

I have the same issues with the bookmarking happening on the previous page. At first I kept hitting the bookmarking button and I ended up with a ton of bookmarks on the previous page. This issue is driving me crazy!!!

There is a quick fix. Apple sent out an email asking people to delete their Steve Jobs book and re-download. It looks like a lot of us did not get the email from Apple (me included). I re-downloaded the book and I've had no problems with bookmarks. Check out the link:

Ok, my bookmark issue was fixed by the new iBooks release. I'm still having the problem with it not remembering the font size when I reopen a book. I'm wondering if this could be caused by iBooks on my iPhone as they are syncing. Going to try removing books from my iPhone.

Did try redownloading the Steve jobs book and it was fine as far as bookmarks since the new iBooks release, but again font size is my issue now.

Tried deleting, logging out and in and reloading on both phone and pad. The bookmark shows up on the device I'm reading from but not on the other device and it's not syncing accurately from pad to the phone and vice versa. Anyone else continuing to have this issue??

Same issue here. Good spot about the bookmark appearing on the previous page (in either orientation). I hadn't noticed that.

It would be good to get an answer and get this fixed in the next version.

Same problem here. Also, when you reopen iBooks after closing it, the page is often lost -- it will open to 10 to 20 pages away

I'm reading Steve's bio too and having the same problem with bookmarks.

Same problem on ipad2, with ios 5.0.1 ... Really annoying
