click track bleed through on electric guitar parts

Could it be that the guitar player's headphone was too loud?

Could you be hearing the metronome and think its the click track? If you are going direct on the guitar, I don't see how it could bleed into that track. If you solo the guitar track and turn off metronome, do you hear the click track?

How does the guitarist get the click? Is it feeded through the same audio interface (headphones) through which the guitar goes into logic? Then it could be a hardware issue inside the audio interface.

Plug your electric guitar into an amp. Turn it up. Sing directly at the guitar top (where a pickup is).

If the click track is playing loud enough to hear over the music, then a guitar pickup will pick it up. Especially a hollow body electric.
