How to make iTunes repeat a song forever

I'd like to use iTunes to generate music for a phone system (music on hold). I've tried this in the past where I've selected one track and press repeat, but after a while (a few days), iTunes just stops playing. Is there anyway to make the song repeat forever?

MacPro 2.66 Quad Core, Mac OS X (10.5.8), OSX Server, 2G ram, 2-500GHD

Have you tried QuickTime Player instead? That can loop a track, and while I can't say it would be more reliable than iTunes, QT Player is a lot less complex so it would seem to me to stand a better chance of running indefinitely. This of course presumes any system problem, power surge, etc. which might interrupt any application.

You could also try iTunes DJ with the source being a playlist containing the song you want to play. It should just requeue the song to play again and again.
