The iPad will not connect to iTunes

Whenever I try to connect the iPad to iTunes it will not work. Currently it's battery level is 60%, and it is disabled. I would like to restore it to take the forgotten code off, however it will not connect to iTunes. Help me please!

Have you tried plugging in to the wall outlet to recharge?

When you attach to the computer and open iTunes, does iTunes list the iPad in the devices list on the left side of the screen?

You must also go the iTunes and open iTunes Preferences...
Mac: iTunes > Preferences
PC: Edit > Preferences

Click devices, iPad does not need to be connected.
Select the backup you want to remove, the click Delete Backup.
Click Delete Backup to confirm.
Click OK

Then connect the iPad and select from the iTunes devices list.

In the Summary window, select Restore

That should do it for you.

If it were me, I would charge the iPad all the way before working with it.

After it is charged, try shuting it down, hold the sleep/power button until you get the red slider, and slide to off.

Then hold the sleep/power button till you power up and connect to the Mac and see if iTunes now recognizes it. Before doing that, close and reopen iTunes.
