Yep, I have exactly the same problem today, very annoying. I hope they fix that quick, 'cause it was already fairly complicated to open the Click&Buy account (took several days with their verification procedures), only to find that it doesn't work... AND my Itunes store account says that my last purchase was made today when in fact the app that I wanted to buy never appeared.

I've got the same experience. It just doesn't continue the process

EDIT: I found a workaround, clickandbuy is finally attached to my iTunes account.
I saved the link which should redirect back to iTunes and in iTunes, I went back to the screen where I should accept the agreement. While at that screen, I refreshed the iTunes link in my browser and suddenly it was attached 🙂

ok..I'm on something here.
Quick question: did you recently install/uninstall chrome?
Because:

- I have the same problem on windows xp
- since nothing happened I started logging events/register calls
- I discovered a failing webrequest, fired by the itunes app:

it was firing a nonexisting browser: chrome.exe
I uninstalled this some while ago, but apparently its still there in the registers.

- I fired up regedit (run-as) and did a search for 'chrome.exe'
- I replaced all occurences with a valid browser path

now if I press 'continue' a browser popups ith clickandbuy..

I can confirm the above posters are onto something when it comes to re-opening the URL.

I was going crazy hopping from iTunes to clickandbuy and back again in circles. iTunes simple would NOT accept the confirmation URL going back to iTunes and register it. The solution? Copy the URL and paste it into FIREFOX. It did not want to work at all in Safari, for some reason.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for posting this suggestion. That did the trick for me after days of infinite loops.

Steps in case they are useful for others:

For the purpose of using the iTunes Store I had been advised to create a new Apple ID and activate it for free downloads first through the App Store. Method here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534

Associating this Apple ID with Click&Buy for downloading paid Apps and Music had not worked before.

Today I initially attempted this paste and refresh method with Safari but that resulted in an error message in iTunes which said the set up had failed.

Pasting the redirect url into a nightly built Safari / WebKit afterwards and trying again resulted in the activation of the account. I'm listening to the first successfully purchased album right now!
