Unknown error (5103): Can't complete iTunes store request

Hello

I am getting this error (unknown, 5103) every time I try to download a rental movie to my MacBook Air. I haven't had this problem on my Mac Pro, which lives on the same local network. Downloads to the Air are also very slow. Can't get rid of the movies in the queue. They seem to be downloaded completely, so they are eating up my hard disk space. Stuck. Also not sure if I am paying for these downloads, I would guess I am. I am downloading from the Japanese iTunes store.

Mac Book Air 11 inch, Mac OS X (10.6.5), 4GB RAM

I'm having exactly the same problem on my MacBook Air 13. I downloaded a TV Show. It downloaded all the data and the download ended with this unknown error 5103. When I try to start the TV Show or to finish the download, I always get the same error.

This problem occurs on my iMac from time to time -- not with every i Tunes purchase. I have to send Apple an email, they credit my account and I circumvent the problem by downloading the media onto my iPad and then syncing it to the iMac. There has to be a way to fix the overall issue, I just wish I knew how.

Same thing happened to me. Apple took my $5 and then blocked me from watching... so dumb that the only way to fix this is to reformat your hard drive.

I can say this.. Apple is doing a great job at promoting piracy when they pull things like this...
