Downgrading to old Apple TV software

Hi, I would prefer to continue using my Apple TV the way I did before: Loading content from my computer, and then being able to use the Apple TV even when my computer is switched off. With the new software 3.0.2, this seems no longer possible.
Any idea how to do that? Streaming is fine, but I'd prefer the "old" way.

Well... No. In iTunes, I can only see the Photos section and determine what albums I want on the Apple TV. The rest I cannot edit anymore (like playlists etc.). You have an idea what the problem might be?

that's because you have linked appletv to itunes as a streaming only device.
you need to break the link and re-add it, but this time as a syncing connection.
