Restoring Filevault with time machine

After a hard disk replacement I have reinstalled the same version of the operating system and wish to restroe my system as it was prior to the crash. I use filevault. Can I simply retore the entire system (including the entire filevault) using the intructions in the FAQ for restoring the entire system, or are the additional steps required to restore the filevault?
