Need help. Can't see screen in sun

Going to the beach. Last time I couldn't see the screen in the sun. What can I do?

You're a braver soul than me about going to the beach in December 🙂.

I put the brightness all the way up and read the screen from below my sunglasses. When the weather was still nice enough to go to the beach, I would sit under my beach umbrella to read.

You'd better get yourself a nice winter coat though. Kinda cold in England these days. LOL

Regarding your iPad problem, my suggestion is: DON'T USE IT ON THE BEACH unless you have a very good pair of UVA and UVB proof sunglasses.

Since iPad screen is made of glass, it increases the amount of sun rays reflected into your retina, even if you can't really notice it. This extra amount of sun light directed to your eyes can be harmful in a mid-term basis.

The hint here is valid for any kind of reading under sunlight, even the old good paper.

The bottom line is, always read under a good shadow. 😉

Cheers.
