iphone 4 volume not working

the volume on my iphone 4 not working. When i make a call i have to put the speaker on or i wont be able to hear. When i go to listen to my music, the song will be running, but i dont hear anything unless i use headphones. When i try to raise the volume on my phone, its always says on the top of the of the speaker headphones, instead of ringer. any help thanks!!!

I am also currently having trouble with the volume, i can hear the clicks of the keyboard when sending a message, but when i try to listen to music or youtube there is no volume bar and silence. The volume wont increase by the pressing of any of the volume plus buttons on the phone its self or via the headset. Very frustrating !
