Games for Mac (Snow Leopard)

Hi,

I am really bored over Christmas Break, and I need a game for my Mac. Any recommendations? And it has to be compatible with Snow Leopard 10.6.3, 2 GB RAM, and a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Thanks.

MacBook Aluminum (Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.3), iPod nano 6G 8 GB

Hi,

I kind of already hcecked this place out. I was wondering if there were any games in particular people would suggest. Age of Empires, Need for Speed, Starcraft, etc. I don't know what to get. (I can't get them all.)

You can buy and download games through Steam. One I've heard a lot of good things about and have been meaning to try is Half-Life 2. Not a new game, but I've never played it. I'm reluctant, because once I get a new game like this, I'm like a cocaine addict with a new dime-bag... all else falls by the wayside until the "bag" is empty! 🙂

Depends on how quickly you can solve a game, and you interest in replaying same.

I don't necessarily have time to play (any game) all the way through in a short amount of time.

Invariably, some sort of (OS, security, QT, ad nauseum) update "breaks" the game. the developers support group generally says 'we wrote it for OS X 10.x.x and you are running 10.x.z. So the solution is to undo the update and run our product under 10.x.x, not 10.x.z.

Enter PS2/3.

Don't have that problem, and can take as long as necessary to solve/win the game.

So I bought a PS2 (later a PS3) and no longer have that problem.
If I want to play, or replay, any game, irregardless of how long ago the game was published, it just works.

Therefor, if the OP has limited time to play, and as a result, may take several months to complete a game, there may be better platform options.
