*How to delete iPod Touch 4 Apps*

Sync your iPod/iPhone with iTunes
1. On the left hand side menu, click on your iPod
2. At the top, click Apps
3. Untick the applications which you don't want
4. Click apply at the bottom

OR You can hover over the icons and click the 'X'

TIP: Delete the application from iTunes aswell to prevent iTunes from putting it back in

I'm not sure whether this'll work on the iPhone 4 aswell but it should.

This, and lots more is covered in the User Guide:

Alot of people don't really read the manual (like me) and there isnt much of a manual included with the iPod Touch / iPhone

That would explain why those same people don't know how to do basic tasks such as deleting Apps. I wonder why companies go to the effort of writing manuals for their products?

There is. The manual is built right into the iPod touch and iPhone. It's under *iPhone / iPod touch User Guide* in Safari Bookmarks. This fact, and the link to the User Guide is in the printed material that comes in the iPod touch box.

I found another way to delete apps but it seems I can't edit my first post.

To delete an app via your iPhone or iPod Touch, just hold down the icon until it wriggles and an 'X' appears. HOWEVER, should no 'X' appear, your restriction settings are restricting you to delete the app directly from the iPhone or iPod.

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions > (Enter your passcode if you have one) > Go to deleting apps and slide the slider to 'Yes'.

Now you should be able to delete apps directly from your iPhone or iPod.

If a mod/admin could edit my first post to include this, it would be very useful.

    Thanks
