I bought an old PowerBook 5300cs online. The only problem with it is the trackpad. I opened up the laptop and turns out, the cable from the trackpad to the motherboard was broken. I can't seem to find one. Does anyone know where I can get the trackpad ribbon cable?
Parts that can be quickly dis-assembled from dead or dying laptops are often readily available on eBay, although this is getting a little old.
For many Apple Laptops like this, the piece that was bought and sold was the "top cover" the plastic piece surrounding the keyboard, including the working trackpad with its cable.
