There are purchased items that have not been transferred to your iTunes...

oh my, I must have done something really bad. I checked the manually manage songs option thinking I could maybe get the songs to transfer to itunes manually. It didnt work. Not only that, it unchecked the sync music option.

If I try to turn on sync music, it wants to wipe the phone clean.

I'm really lost here. I feel I am backed into a corner and about to lose a lot of music I've paid for on my phone.

If I checked the manage music manually, where in the world do I get to manage it at? How is it managed if it won't let me check the sync music option without losing everything on my phone?

I'm thinking there is a glitch somewhere as the file>transfer purchases didn't transfer anything. It blinked, showed something for a split second, then back to normal screen. I am going ahead with the update as I checked my main library and see all the purchased songs on there.
