Macbook Pro keeps asking for WPA password

When I try to connect my Macbook Pro to my wireless router, OSX wont accept my WPA password. I know its the correct password because other devices can connect with it.

My Macbook Pro can connect to other wireless networks, it can also connect to this router if I change the router settings to "no security"

I've tried removing the network from the list, deleting the password from the keychain, even rebooting, and creating the network manually rather than letting it detect automatically. On another MacBookPro creating the network manually fixed the problem. When detecting it automatically it saw the encryption as WPA2 when the router says its WPA. The router is a Thomson TG585 from Plusnet btw.

The only way I can make it work is to do these steps whenever I want to connect to this network:
- Delete the password from keychain
- In Prefs>Network create a new location
- Manually add my network to this location

Any ideas please?
