Clicking to confirm doesn't actually confirm

In iPhoto '11 - Faces I have a list of unconfirmed faces. I confirm them all and them click Done. Faces says it's searching for additional photos and then it shows me all the same photos that I just confirmed. Why doesn't this stick?

I had "iPhoto 09" and this happened to me all the time like for example I have 3 faces albums (1 for each of my kids)

so when I click "confirm additional faces" by going to the faces album, I click to confirm lets say 60 images of my daughter, it still says i have 60 images to confirm. so I click again and guess what there the same 60 images i just "confirmed"

so now I figure the only way to get them(faces) to stick is to do it manually by actually searching for each image individually and click "add a face". which actually works BUT only temporarily because sometime down the line at what I guess is random, the same dang 60 images are back and need to be "confirmed" AGAIN!! and this goes on and on and never stops.

I've tried everything too by the way, I have done the "option/command" and rebuilt the library and cache but that

just created other problems elsewhere in iPhoto like rotate certain images upside down. I also tried deleting the faces.db file in package contents

so then I decided to just "nuke" everything and just start from scratch, so I did a "CLEAN" install of "OS X LION" and then purchased iPhoto 11 from mac app store. so now I have a fresh brand new library and added faces from scratch but now guess what, instead of the 60 images from before now there is a new crop of 70 images(some from before and some new) and they will not go away either, its the same as before.

and it cant be my images are corrupted because the images are taken with iPhone 4 camera app (and some hipstamatic shots)

so nothing works so i am convinced its a bug

I've had the same problem, but only with photos of my wife. I am able to confirm faces for everyone else I've tried since noticing this problem months ago. My working assumption is that there is a limit on how many photos can be tagged with a given face, since I have more photos of her than anyone else. The limit does seem strange and way lower than I'd expect if there had to be a limit at all. Can anyone else confirm that this is only happening for people for whom they have large numbers of photos?

No. Do you remember the Terms of Use at all? You agreed to them when you signed up and there's a link to them on the right hand side of every page. As they explain, this is a forum for Users to discuss technical issues with other Users. Apple's developers aren’t here. They don’t promise to read anything here.

In iPhoto '11 - Faces I have a list of unconfirmed faces. I confirm them all and them click Done. None of the faces are confirmed. Next time I search for additional photos it shows me all the same photos that I just confirmed.

I've followed the recommendation to rebuild my I photos library (extremely time consuming) since it contains over 50,000 photos. The problem persists. Does anyone have a solution?
