Clicking to confirm doesn't actually confirm

In iPhoto '11 - Faces I have a list of unconfirmed faces. I confirm them all and them click Done. Faces says it's searching for additional photos and then it shows me all the same photos that I just confirmed. Why doesn't this stick?

I have the same frustrating problem with iPhoto11, and it's even more frustrating when I'm offered over 1,000 photos to confirm, many of which are leaves, rocks, a sugar bowl and even the Christchurch steeple!

I can bulk-select all the faces it wishes me to confirm or reject, but can't find a way to bulk reject them all. If I go through and click each one, then the number of images it then re-offers me does go down, but if I only 'confirm' the relevant faces and click 'done' then it offers all the same leaves, rocks etc. again and again.

Terry the purpose of Faces is to organize pictures by identifying faces. Is iPhoto supposed to memorize the faces placed on the board and confirmed? I loose all mine every time I close iPhoto. I have to start all over again.

Am I missing something like "SAVE"???

So far Facs is a great idea in organizing the photos but it appears only to work until you shut down iPhoto! Not very handy if that is the case

subject -Face recognition

I have created a new library for iPhoto and imported 6 pictures (2 faces 3 each) I go thru and select ID and they are on the board. I close iPhoto.

I re-open iPhoto and choose faces - and I must select them again. It does not remember.

Have you been successful in ID-ing faces and been able to return to iPhoto at a later time and still find them sorted?????

Yes I have successfuly named and saved faces on miltiple libraries on multiple machines.

Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there in that new account. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
