Recently there have been some complaints about Viber calls that don't get through, or over-consumption of battery. We have realized that many users choose to completely shut Viber off when they don't call (relying on Push Notifications for receiving calls).
But this solution actually causes the reverse effect - it disrupts incoming calls, and it wastes battery life, trying to activate the Push Notification mechanism each time a call is received.
For those of you with iPhone 3Gs and up (with "Multitasking") - we advise all our users to keep their Viber running in the background, thus saving battery life and hopefully fixing the "Missed Call" bug.

I have just purchased a brand new iPhone4 and installed Viber.
I am also experiencing the problem where I can't pass the continue tab.
I have tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it but still no success.
Some of my friends on Viber have tried entering the phone number in various different formats and it still refuses to pass the continue tab. It almost seems like the phone number is not being accepted, but I am positive about entering the number and have even looked and other phones setup and tried every possible combination of formats.
The reviews are so great that this has influenced me to buy an iPhone, and all I can do right now is hope that someone from the Viber Team posts some solution. I have even tried the link pointing to the solution but the link just says "failed to load session"

I have installed Viber but I don't know how to enable push notifications. I use iphone 3gs. I am sure all my notifications are on at my iphone but i don't know how to "push notifications" for Viber, so Viber do not notify me any thing (incoming calls, missed calls, messages etc.) when Viber is in the background or it is off.
Unfortunatelly, at the beginning, when i was setting Viber on my iphone i had missed to tap "ok" to the message which enables the push notifications. In order to fix this problem i deleted and installed Viber 4 times but it did not work.
I am afraid, once i have missed push notification message, it will never be fixed again , will it be? i have visited "http://helpme.viber.com" but the link given accordingly did not work. So, how this problem will be fixed.

If it still doesn't work, then the cause of the problem might be the fact that your iPhone is unlocked or jailbroken, and that interferes with Push Notifications in your iPhone. We've heard that some of our users fixed this problem using something called "Push Doctor", but this is *NOT* an official solution from Viber Media.

I seem to have a similar issue. It started about a month ago - push notifications are ON (including the ones for Viber), however when I open the app I get a pop up message saying that the Push Notifications are turned off and need to be turned on. Clicking "retry" kept the pop up window popping up again and again.
I removed the app, downloaded it again, and now when I press the Continue button I get the same pop up message. As a verification that the problem is not in the phone (iPhone 3G) and the notifications, WhatsApp is working smoothly.

I have used Viber for months and it worked fine most of the time
Recently I updated to the latest version of Viber and since then it does not work at all. I can not open the icon on my screen
I have tried to re-install and now I am told by the AppleStore that Viber is not compatible with my phone as it requires iPhone 4
How can I get the Viber version that I used to have and was totally compatible?
I am not planning to change my mobile phone soon
iPhone 3G is not officially supported by Viber (as stated in our website) but only iPhone 3Gs and above. This might be the cause to the problems you are experiencing. Also, if your iPhone is Jailbroken, that could be a reason for the problem. Please contact our support team at http://suppot.viber.com and elaborate on the problem, and they might be able to assist you further.
Please see my response above regarding iPhone 3G. About iOS3, it's not yet compatible with Viber but we're working on a solution this very moment, and we hope it is ready soon.

I have iphone 3G as well but the problem i'm having is different:
when I call someone or someone calls me withe viber the other side can't hear me while I'm hearing the other side perfect/
please help me with this problem caouse I really like this app but can't use it without the other side hearing me talking/

I have some of these problems too.
I am using iPhone 3GS (never jailbroken) with iOS5, and the Viber is 2.1.1.
First, I found my Viber contact list is empty, I do sure there were many contacts on that list while I using the previous version. So I deleted the Viber, downloaded again from the App Store and reinstalled.
Then I followed the instruction and got the access code from SMS. I entered the code but it said it's an invalid code and asked me to try again. After tried many times, I pressed the "No Code?" button on the setup screen and then I received a photo call which I got the code again, but still field and can't access.
@kerenkalifa - We are about to release a fixed version of Viber (2.1.2) within the next few days. Please keep check AppStore for updates, and once it's released, uninstall your current version and install the new one. If it still doesn't work on the new version, please contact me again and we'll try to further investigate the problem.
This moring i receive message from apple to down load the latest version of viber after I download I can't use it anymore the screen is all white nothing could be seen I have reinstalled if few times but still the same.
Can anyone tell me what I should do abt it. or do I ahve to wait few days and try it again.
The older version was better and I never had any problem with that is there anyway to download the older version again.
